Putting the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method to work at Scurri

I have had the good fortune to work with several of my clients over extended periods of time. Scurri is one of those.

Our first workshop dates back to 2013, where we used the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method to develop a new business model. Back then, Scurri was a rather young Irish tech start-up. I have previously shared this case in “Building a Better Business with the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method”

They have since grown, changed business models, and attracted several serious investors. And, I have had the good luck to work with them, not least with CEO and founder Rory O’Connor.

Our latest workshop was in September 2021 where we spend two days diagnosing their current identity and strategic landscape, played what-if situations (emergences), identified who they wanted to be in 2024 (in their words their mission), and how to start getting there.

Earlier this year, Roy and I connected on Zoom, and he shared how they brought the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY models back to the office, how their model of the mission led to their mission statement, how they use the results of the workshop to develop their plan and budget. You can find the brief interview below.

I will later this year interview Rory and a few other clients about their experience from using LEGO SERIOUS PLAY several times. What added value does it bring to use the method more than once? More on that in a future post.
